With the devastation that took place in Moore, Oklahoma this afternoon leaving 91 dead including dozens of children and massive EF4 and EF5 storms for all of us to be in deep reflection about, we offer heartfelt prayers and condolances..No one deserves to have a lost one lost especially their kids..The look on people’s faces and seeing the storm itself on TV will no doubt leave ineligible marks on our minds..Whats more disturbing is more severe storms are expected..

With this in mind, it’ll be interesting to see what punk politicians like Oklahoma Senators Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe do.. For those who don’t know, these are two gentlemen who decided to stand on staunch political ideology and perverse set of principles in the wake of the Hurricane Sandy tragedy where more than 100 people died..These two clowns pumped out their chest and voted to deny aid to the victims of Hurricane Sandy citing too much government spending while falling back on the nonsensical belief that global warming had nothing to do with spawning these storms..Coburn also voted against giving aid for Hurricane Katrina victims.

On top of that it was just last week Inhofe had a woman tossed out of his DC office who came to talk to him about the environmental concerns. We must fight to keep our humanity and understand that the survivors of this storm deserve help..Thank God for the first responders and thousands of volunteers who have jumped in at a moments notice to help those in dire straits. Victims of these storms deserve better treatment than what these two bozos senators unleashed on others in times of need..
.We should not forget the evil and mean spiritedness these two Senators embraced and watch to see if they behave in the wake of this new disaster which unfortunately impacted their own backyard. We know in the past the pair have voted to have emergency funds come to their state while crapping on and blocking emergency aid for others states. But with the recent denials of aid for Hurricane Sandy victims, lets see how they behave now that president Obama has declared Moore, OK a disaster area.

What was going on in Benghazi and throughout Libya was ignored by our President who traces his direct roots to Africa. It was ignored by many white progressives who saw any and all uprisings in the region as one and the same. They figured since Al Jazeera which is owned by the rulers of Qatar and were staunch supporters of this anti-black armed rebel cabal, that they were somehow ok.. They were ok even after Black progressives and other international human rights organizations, many who had been to Libya, many who lived in the region issued report after report from folks on the ground about the horrors of Benghazi and Black Africans being torched. Many folks simply turned a blind eye….
So now we have hearings about what went on in Benghazi and no one is talking about imperialistic actions or regime change or the fact that the US had a US Libya Business Association which was made up of all these Big Oil companies that made 1.2 billion a year and stood to make even more once Libya was taken over.. It should be noted this US Libya Business Association had its website go dark during the NATO invasion creating the illusion that we weren’t doing robust business in Libya when in fact the US and quite a few companies were.. While all this is going on in Baltimore, 3000 miles away in Kern County California, 8 sheriff deputies beat a man to death in front of multiple people and then ran around confiscating cell phones and terrorizing those who witnesses the tragedy. Some say they fear for the lives. Others have been arrested on trumped up charges.. The video below explains the horrific beating of David Silva.
Mario Romero was murdered in front of his on September 2, 2012 by Vallejo Police officer Dustin Brent Joseph as he waited for someone to open the front door, not because he was going in right away but because he was letting his brother -inlaw out of the car and was going around the corner to pick up his daughter and wife who were at her mothers. a call was placed inside of the house and one of his sisters came outside and hid on the side of the house attempting to scare them but in the moments from the phone call and her getting outside and hiding Mario’s car was illuminated with a police light and to officers hopping out of their car both beginning the sentence “put your hands up” but only one officer completing the sentence and the other firing his weapon repeatedy and at one point hopping onto the hood of Mario’s car and continuing to unload his weapon as family members and neighbors knowing the character of the men inside of the car pleaded for them to stop shooting.
Today is Mother’s Day.. a day when all of us should take some time out, reflect and give heartfelt thanks, hugs and show appreciation to our first teachers… Today is one where we should uplift those who have bore life and have nurtured us, often times against seemingly insurmountable odds…Many of us claim to love our mammas, but far too many us go all out to mistreat the mothers and future mothers around us..Some lay hands on our mothers, others verbally abuse our mothers.. Still others sing, rap or listen to material that debases our mothers.. That needs to stop..
Discussions about state sponsored violence usually centers around our concern for police brutality..However, we need to make sure when speaking about this we include what is taking place in our military..Last year alone there were over 26 thousand sexual assaults.. 26 thousand.. and those are the ones that’s been reported.. Out of those 26 thousand only 238 had been addressed..This breaks down to over 70 assaults a day..
As this inexcusable conduct is taking place with no signs of slowing down or being contained several things need to be kept in mind. First, we just saw our President push to allow for the FBI to have more access to watch over ordinary citizens to make sure we don’t do something foul.. We’ve seen increased militarization of our police forces all over the country where surveillance, some form of stop and frisk are all being deployed..We should be asking what measures, what cameras, what sort of surveillance is being put in place to make sure rapes and sexual assaults cease within our military? Seems to me that’s where we have a big time problem..
We need to ask ourselves where is this coming from? How is this allowed to happen? Where they influenced by entertainers like a Chris Brown or Rick Ross or was it the other way around? What we are dealing with is something systemic and deeply embedded in the culture of those who serve.. It’s no different then the culture of violence we see directed at citizens by our police..
