Bloods and Crips were in cities outside of L.A. way before Colors came out. I know for a fact Oak Park Bloods were in Sacramento before the movie Colors. So were Garden Crips in South Sac. When Colors came out, the theaters were worried because so many Crips and Bloods in Sac were showing up. So it must be something other than movies spreading gangs around the country.
I remember watching that HBO documenatary on Little Rock, they showed that Crip who’d moved to Little Rock from Los Angeles and he was there before Colors.
