NY based rapper NYOIL has decided to stop talking about the problems and start working toward solving them. In recent weeks , he has gathered up anumber of neighborhood youth and started putting on events for them specifically to boost their self esteem..He’s been taking the youngsters on outings and trying to be positive force in their lives. In this video below..NY Oil is shown teaching 12 yr old Lady Bree some flow drills as she works up to getting on the upcoming project. Its a beautiful thing..
NY Oil noted; “See no matter how old or young if you aint fire you can’t touch the track!!”
See how HipHop is being passed down to save the culture.. as it SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE a long time ago. Props to NY Oil..
This is amazing! These skills that NYOil is teaching her will definitely help Lady Bree. This will help with her ability to speak in front of people, motivate her to read more, enhance her reading skills, and help to expand her vocabulary, in addition to many other things. This will seriously guide in the development and sharpening of her mentality. This will also help her musically as well as academically. In a way, what NYOil is doing here doesn’t seem too different from what a music conductor may do. This is one of the many examples of how our people can be uplifted through HipHop.
NYOil, I solute you, my brother! This is an awesome move! Efforts like this should be supported and celebrated. People really need to know about this story, which is why I appreciate so much the fact that this is posted here.
NOTE: Even though NYOil is teaching a 12 year old here, there are MANY adult rappers that can watch and learn from this. Maybe NYOil should offer both youth and adult courses on how to flow!
Thanks, Bro. Davy!
