Black men have been under pressure to perpetrate sexual violence against black women since the first slave ships hit the continent … watch roots again and look at the scene where the character played by Lavar Burton witnesses a female friend being psychologically sexually tortured on the slave block while the white male who has defined her being as “subhuman” tells the crowd what his fantasy is about what she has to offer and projects and defines her being not as being enslaved and sexually tortured but as a “ho”.
