Jordan Miles
Once again an all-white jury found ruthless police officers ‘not guilty’ of egregious actions. In this case we are talking about honor student Jordan Miles out of Pittsburgh, Pa. A couple of years ago Miles while en route to his grandmother’s house 3 white plain clothed officers who call themselves the ‘Jump Out Boys‘ ran up on him demanding he hand over all his drugs and money..
Fearing he was about to be robbed, Jordan ran, was swept down and pummeled by 3 martial arts expert cops.. They beat Miles so badly he was unrecognizable by his mother. Adding insult to injury they tore his dreads out.
Keep in mind, Miles had never been in trouble with the police ever. His neighborhood, Homewood is notorious for people getting jacked so it wasn’t an out-of-pocket reaction for Miles at 11pm at night to run from perceived danger..He was going to stay with his grandma because she doesn’t like being alone at night because there is crime in the neighborhood.
Miles who is top-notch violinist had recently performed for the first lady Michele Obama.. Lots of protests ensued after the incident, but there was the refusal of DA to criminally prosecute the cops.. The Black police chief at the time, Nate Harper who was recently sentenced to jail for conspiracy and tax evasion, callously stated said Jordan shouldn’t have run. Not only did he justify the horrendous beating, he gave the cops a promotion.
A civil trial was had and concluded the other day. The all white jury said the police falsely arrested Jordan, but saw nothing wrong with Miles being beat. They said the police did no wrong and while the awarded Miles 119K dollars when all is said and done, Miles will receive 3k.. Yes you read that right, he will get only 3 grand and because of the jury’s verdict he will now likely have to pay for the officer’s lawyer fees.. You can read about that HERE

There was some race stuff in there with the jury and chief of police.
But whats the point of the article ?
This is something that happened 2 yrs. ago. He was now awarded the money and he got 3k ; well I guess the beef would be with the lawyers. But this is nothing unusual when you deal with attorneys if your not careful.
I appreciate Ü for spreading the awareness of this situation!!! I actually live in Pittsburgh & know some people who are a lot closer to this case than me. I am sure they would like to bring more light to this as well.
