Jay Z Spars w/ Barney Frank Over Stop & Frisk, Addresses Belafonte

Jay Z on Bill MaherJay Z appeared on the Bill Maher show last night and addressed the Harry Belafonte issue. He said he wished Harry had got at him in private vs via the press..He also got into a heated exchange with former Congressman Barney Frank over Stop and Frisk. Frank says he wants more police.. Jay Z says we need more jobs and that the gap between Have and Have Nots is widening.. He noted that there is no middle class  and  more police will not solve our poverty problem… Thoughts on this? Wonder if his friend President Obama is listening considering that he wants to put NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly in as head of Homeland Security

X-CLAN, MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT, They were/are positivve role models, who seem to have been locked out of thr rap/hip-hop world, by those having financial foftitude… simply because their style of teaching was the most rawest educstional methods needed to be wske the dead! I.love you ma, and as a driver I’d proudly and honorably chauffer you(all) whithet you had to go. Brother Yasin Bey, well said. Jay,-z, good argument, but you seem to have set the people up for continued search of the fantastic, with your calculated recent release and the media induced craze about the iluminatii. the people question what the know not… zzand so your statement “y’all gon learn today“ is only rhythmically sound… Meanwhile its good to have some who have financial voices and experiences with the Department of Criminal Justice, voicing SOME of the horrors of the prison I.dustrial complex.. the sad part is you have to have. been there to.lnow, that it’s mainly your elected officials continued cries of terrorism, which enable them to limit and control access to the much.needed educational, and rehabilitative tools nerded aimed at the correction of the mental and emotional flaws. in personality, called criminal deviance. this observation is in no way meant to absolve those suffering from genuine emotional and psychological illnesses, and I have learned that there is such a thing as “crazy”. This but begs the question, what are you really going to do about it?

This is a good example of Liberals not getting it. Barney Frank is under the impression that more police will stop crime while, somewhere in East Brooklyn, where crime was a part of the greater community, a shot hasn’t gone off in 363 days due to community policing. Maybe those, as Ghostface Killer called them “smart/dumb” folk on Capital Hill need to talk to the organizers in that area to see how that was/is executed.

  16. “When someone shows you who they are, believe them” – Dr. Maya Angelou
Such a quote is indicate of this 6 minute “discussion” about the role of the police as It pertains to members of the black community. I will keep it brief and to the point. What I just witnessed is called a weapon of mass DIStraction where there is the ILLUSION of an actual debate but where substance is non-existent. The central issue that is being dodged like the plague is the level of inherent incompetent government policy that has arbitrarily treated black life with little to no value. The “hood” can be labeled as a resource deprived community where the basic elements to existence are lacking and thus, the process of reinforcing inappropriate psycho social behavior commences. Quite frankly, Hip Hop has been speaking about the issue of black social, political and economic disempowerment for the past 40 years and we still do not want to face the truth for what it is. The police is an agent of state sponsored terrorism with the intent to kill, maim and destroy African people living in the U.S (to be specific, black males). When Jay-Z begins to articulate such a truth, maybe there will be progression in such a dialogue. For now, he will only continue to function as the intermediary mouthpiece of the “industry” and reinforce a language and lifestyle that has proven to be more harmful than uplifting to members of the Hip Hop Nation. Peace.
